What is Tai Cheng?
Tai Cheng is one of the latest Beachbody exercise and health vides to be released (March 2012). Beachbody is widely known for its intense workouts like P90X and Insanity that make incredible changes in people’s bodies, but they’re now branching out in different directions. Beachbody has always had a great selection of beginner workouts to choose from, and not that Tai Cheng is for beginners, but it could be a great place to start. If you haven’t worked out in a long time, recovering from an injury or illness, or maybe you’re a senior and you want to start exercising, Tai Cheng would be an excellent choice.
Tai Cheng is a 12-week fitness program that works your whole body, and not just your muscles; it helps your balance, and improves your health both physically and mentally. Dr. Cheng has fused the ancient art of Tai Chi with 21st century sports science to develop Tai Cheng. Tai Cheng is said to improve mobility, agility, vitality and to make everything feel better, which is a good thing. Please check out this short video about Tai Cheng, it should give you a little better understanding of what it is.
What can Tai Cheng do for you?
Tai Cheng, through its gentle movements, is designed to increase your flexibility, reduce painful knots in your muscles, help with balance and overall make you feel better. Some of the benefits that come from doing Tai Cheng are that it will increase you strength, you will move easier, and it will help you enjoy the other activities that you want to do. I imagine that Tai Cheng would really help your golf game too!
What equipment is required to do Tai Cheng?
One of the things I like most about all of Beachbody’s products is that you don’t need a lot of special equipment, and if you do, it usually comes with the program you are getting. According to Beachbody’s website, all you need is a 6’ x 6’ space, about an hour a day, and a foam roller, which is included with the program.
Tai Cheng sounds like a winner to me and I can’t wait to try it. My workout calendar is getting full of the workouts that I want to do. My wife, Ally, and I have the rest of this year scheduled out, but this workout will be on my schedule soon. I think a combination of Tai Cheng and the Ultimate Reset would make me feel incredible.
If you’re looking for a workout for a parent, senior or you’re a senior, Tai Cheng would be incredible. Some other benefits are: lower blood pressure, improves balance, and reduces injuries due to falls.
