What has changed in your life recently? Can you expect good changes ahead of you? No matter how bad the world comes against us, the Lord will deliver us. He will not fail us, He will deliver us and lift us out of our enemy’s hands. God is gracious and good at all times. He is faithful even when we cannot see it with our eyes. Our perception is so limited and God’s ability is so vast. No matter what the world says, we can trust that God will have the final say. God has promised that He has something good in store for us and that He will not leave us nor forsake us. He has promised that He will not allow anyone to remove us from His hand. These are promises that give me hope and encouragement as we see great trials come against us and to stand in faith for all the changes ahead of us.
Though the world gives me a report of destruction and defeat, God’s Word and my heart tells me that God is still at work and it is only a matter of time before my eyes will see what He has planned for our good. It is easy to lose hope when the world comes falling in on us and looks like it’s so overwhelming that you can’t handle it, but God cannot be defeated, ever. Hold on. There are good changes ahead of you!
How long was it between the time God promised His people a deliverer and when Jesus arrived and took on human flesh to bear all our pain and deliver us? How long has it been since He departed saying He will return for us, as He has gone to prepare a place for us? God’s timing is certainly not our own, but it is perfect and wiser than ours. I trust that our deliverance will not take thousands of years, so don’t give up just because it doesn’t come in the time that you believed that it should. What if the changes ahead are not what you expected?
What if it’s not the answer you were looking for when it does come? Wait on Him and ask Him to show you how He will make this for the good, because as sure as He lives, He will make it for the good. God finally brought Jesus, the long awaited Messiah, to His people and they were ready to be freed from the Romans that oppressed them, but then those eyes that believed in Him found themselves staring up at Him hanging on the cross. Can you imagine how confused and crushed they must have been? They had no idea what to expect of the changes ahead of them and what their future held. Did they lose hope? Did they question everything they saw, heard, and believed? I would say perhaps they did, as do we when the answer doesn’t unfold like we thought it should or would.I say that we cannot lose hope for as sure as we can trust that Jesus will return to complete His work, God is not done with us yet. Hang on beloved, there are good changes ahead, because your redeemer, your maker, your King and restorer is not finished with you yet.
Wait and trust that whatever you are going through is for a reason, a reason that may never be revealed to you in this lifetime, but be sure that God does make all things for the good and to His glory in the end. God is not a man that He should lie (Numbers 23:19) and He will not, cannot be anything other than who He is, perfect. Inside perfection we cannot find fault, otherwise it’s not perfect. Rest and take comfort in knowing that you are in the safest hands you can be in, if you have placed yourself in God’s faithful hands. The plan includes good changes ahead of you. Good plans for your future and that of your family. His hands are big enough to hold all the cares of the world and still have room for far more. Think your problem is too big or too small? Nothing is impossible for God. He cared enough to write your name on the palms of His hands (Isaiah 49:16), numbered the hairs on your head (Luke 12:7) and placed your tears in a bottle (Psalm 56:8), so what could you have that you can’t bring to Him, trusting He loves you so deeply and longs to help you, comfort you and lift you up? God has great plans for your life, so hopefully you are excited about the changes ahead of you.
He already knows all about you: You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. (Psalm 139:3) There is nothing you have to say or share with Him that will shock Him and as a faithful friend, He loves you with the full knowledge of who you are, all you’ve done and all you will do. God sure is more than just grace, love and mercy, but what beautiful attributes of God to hang onto when we look around for anything to hang on to in our hour of need. Grab His hand and let Him help you up, into His arms, His love and His kindness. Allow Him to comfort you, minister to you, heal you and teach you His ways. Give Him a chance to share with you the wonder of who He is and who you are in Christ Jesus. Nothing is hidden from God’s eyes. Regardless of the changes ahead of you, you can trust God will be with you each step of the way, but don’t fear trusting they are good changes coming your way, because our God is good and He loves you!
Psalm 139:16 You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
God bless and keep you, always,
