ChaLEAN Extreme Burn Circuit 2 Review

 

 

ChaLean Extreme Burn Circuit 2 is the second workout in the “Burn” phase of the ChaLean Extreme program. ChaLean Extreme has 3 phases, Burn, Push and Lean, so this is the second workout in the first phase of the program. At first I thought this whole program wouldn’t be much of a challenge, I’m finding out that I was wrong. Although ChaLean Extreme may look like a “girls” workout, it is for everyone, guys included. ChaLean Extreme Burn Circuit 2 continues with weight lifting, slow reps and compound movements (where you’re doing multiple things at the same time).

I always have fun working out, and it’s been fun doing new workouts, Chalene Johnson really gets you motivated and stays upbeat during the entire workout. As you can see from the video, I had a hard time with a couple of the moves and almost fell over a couple of times; Ally’s editing made me look good.  😉

 

What did I think of ChaLean Extreme Burn Circuit 2?

I’m enjoying ChaLean Extreme more than I thought I would and I’m getting a better workout that I thought. ChaLean Extreme Burn Circuit 2 has you doing different exercises than Burn Circuit 1, so you’re working different muscle groups, but we still managed to do a some core and leg work. The slow rep speed is tough for me, but it’s good to change the way you workout so your body doesn’t get too comfortable. When you’re constantly changing and causing your muscles to work differently, it’s harder for your body to adapt and you make faster progress. This is why you see people who workout in a gym doing the same comfortable workout for years and never change or look any different. For me, the great thing about working out from home, with these types of workouts, is when you finish one you get to move on to a different one. This allows you to continually challenge your body in new ways and by changing up your workouts you make faster progress. I’ve made more changes from workouts like these, at home, than I did in 5-years of working out in a gym.
