Back Cover: Freedom From Fear

There are two spiritual laws at work in the world today: the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus and the law of sin and death. The force of faith comes from life. The force of fear comes from death.

In this book, Kenneth Copeland uncovers the operation of these two forces. There is a way to use God-given faith to conquer fear on every battlefield.

Book Review: Freedom From Fear

Freedom From Fear is packed with reminders of who we are and that we are not called to live in fear. The author offers Scripture and practical ways to root fear out of our lives. He reminds us that while we will be tempted to fear, we do not have to partner with it, we don’t have to agree with it and allow it to take root in our life. He reminds us that while the world teaches a little fear is good, that it’s not Scriptural, because God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, of love and a sound mind. (See 2 Timothy 1:7) He reminds us that if we can believe God’s Word, have faith, this will help root out fear, because they cannot co-exist in our mind and heart. What if the Lord did for us what He did for Elisha’s servant in 2 Kings 6:15-17 and allow to see that there are truly more for us than against us? What would our lives look like then? But, then that wouldn’t be walking in faith, because we walk by faith, not by sight and faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not yet seen. (See 2 Corinthians 5:7 and Hebrews 11:1)

One thing I’ve also been reminded in my recent studies is the importance of application. Knowledge is good, but without application we will see little to no fruit in our lives from the glorious promises of God’s Word. As I believe faith without works is dead, I also believe that knowledge with application of little use.

I’d recommend Freedom From Fear for anyone that struggles with fear. Fear is not something God wants for us and Jesus came for many reasons, one of which was to set us free from the bondage of fear. (See Romans 8:15)

The whole world flows in a negative, downhill, destructive system. We have been trained by Satan to operate in the negative. We talk fear all the time and, for the most part, are totally unaware of it. By giving thought, speech and action to it, the force of fear will work proficiently. It will work in you as long as you allow it to. But you can also put a stop to it and its effect in your spirit, your should and your body.
