3-Day Shakeology Cleanse- Day 3 The Final Results
Yesterday was the last day of the 3-day Shakeology cleanse, I was going to write this yesterday but I wanted to see what the final result was on how much weight I lost. Three days doesn’t seem like very long, and really it isn’t very long, especially looking back at it. I have to be honest that there were times, especially on day two, that I just wanted to eat! I almost did, but I didn’t, and now I can. I’m going to try to be good and not eat everything in sight and clog up my body again. You feel like you’ve made some progress and you don’t want to lose it.
What was day 3 like?
Like I thought, day 3 was much easier than day 2, more energy and less hungry, though there were times I was hungry and just looked around the house for what I could eat. On day two I was just tired, as Ally said in her post yesterday, it was a good thing that we did this on a weekend, and I would recommend doing the 3 day cleanse over a weekend just so you can rest, nap and plain take it easy if you have to. I was much better on the last day in what I ate, I didn’t eat anything that I wasn’t supposed to, no coffee and no E & E. We even worked out, we did 2 Les Mills Pump workouts, that should let you know that we had more energy than the day before. Over all day 3 was much easier of a day than day 2.
What’s the results so far?
I didn’t set out to do the 3 day Shakeology cleanse to lose weight, I did it to feel better, but it is hard to measure how you feel. I do feel much better than the day I started this, more energy, less mental fog, and overall better mood. What you can measure though is weight loss, so this morning I stepped on the scale and it read 200.7 pounds, that is quite a drop since starting this 3 day cleanse. I started at 206.1 pounds, so I have lost a total of 5.4 pounds in 3 days, not bad. It’s nice to lose some weight, but if I don’t feel like working out and taking care of myself, the weight will all come back on. This really was the reason for doing the 3 day Shakeology cleanse, I needed a kick in the pants to keep my workout motivation. I was feeling tired and lethargic which would eventually lead to stopping my workouts and I didn’t want that to happen. I will be 45 years old this year and I want to keep making forward progress in my health and fitness, it’s way too easy to stop and the slope is slippery that leads to inactivity, poor diet and all the health problems that comes with that.
The journey continues, I really feel ready for the next workout, I’m ready to push harder. I’m motivated to clean up our diet and eat better, not only will we feel better, but we’ll look better also. We’re not that far into the Les Mills Pump (LMP) workout, it’s a 90 day program and I feel that I’m starting this at a good point, if I can keep eating good and keep pushing play, the results should be great. I’m not one for putting pictures up of myself, as you can tell there aren’t any recent pictures on this site, but I will soon, probably at the 30 day point of LMP. Pictures say a lot more than words. Well, from here we (Ally and I) will try hard to keep our diet clean, keep working out, and we trust the changes keep coming.
