3-Day Shakeology Cleanse Day 1
In case you were wondering, yes we did start the 3-day Shakeology cleanse today, both of us. I always said that if I was going to write one of these that I would be honest, and I was honest yesterday when I told you that I didn’t start the 3 day Shakeology cleanse yet, and now I’m telling you it has begun.
Day one, what was it like?
This is only 3 days, you can do anything for 3 days, can’t you? Well I started this off a little shaky, I mean I literally started this off wrong. First thing this morning, I did my usual routine, and yes I had a cup of coffee. And yes you’re right, coffee is not part of the 3-day Shakeology cleanse, so the very start of this I messed up. Did I mention that I did two things wrong? Ok, no more coffee for the next two days, I can handle that, and besides I don’t mind tea, I like strong coffee, the stronger the better, but I can do tea. So what else did I do wrong? Well before my workout today (Les Mills Pump!) I made an E & E drink. When Ally came in and saw it, she pointed out that it wasn’t on the 3-day Shakeology cleanse plan. She is right of course, but in my defense it could be. E & E came out after the advent of the 3-day cleanse so it could be on the plan, it doesn’t have many calories, and it did give me a boost for great workout today, the jury is out on this being a part of the 3 day program.
Day two – what does tomorrow have in store?
Well I did make a few mistakes today, but from where I was this was a very good day. I didn’t mention it before but at the start of the day, I stepped on the scale to see where I was starting from and it read 206.1 pounds. Not too good, I was down as far as 203 pounds at the end of P90X, (I started at 226 lbs!), so I have put on a few pounds. Now as of an hour before I started writing this, I stepped on the scale and it said 204.4 pounds. Now I do not recommend weighing yourself at the end of the day or even in the middle of the day, your true weight is best measured first thing in the morning. With all that said, I’m still happy that I was down a few pounds, in just one day! Now the true test will be what the scale says in the morning, we shall see. I know the weight loss could be water or whatever, but I really don’t care. I’m already feeling better, and I know that I’ll be feeling even better in a couple of days. Soon is our normal day of rest, we just take it easy on Sundays and we don’t exercise either. There shouldn’t be any big surprises, I can and just might sleep in tomorrow, and I won’t have any coffee tomorrow morning (reminding myself now). We got some fruit and veggies today so we’re ready for tomorrow, it should be a great day! Thanks for reading!

PS. If I can give you some advise, it would be to take a day off each week. One day to rest, recharge and to let your body and your brain recover. Try not to do any work and rest as much as you can. We have personally noticed a big difference when we do this. When we don’t, we tend to get run down and you can get sick and overall feel yucky. Yep, I’m using the big doctor words again! We all have busy lives and have way too many things to do, but God told us to take a day of rest, and He is smarter than we are, and He knew that we would need it.
